My hub is a GREAT dad!
Last week he came home from leading the KRIZ summer program for 10 days and what does he do with his time? He takes The Dude backpacking!
Apparently it was awesome, but I can't know for sure because us girls were NOT invited.
It was strictly Dad & Dude time.
Sounds like the drove for 45 minutes, hiked for about 10, put up the tent, hunted down some firewood, roasted hot dogs/sausages and marshmallows and read a chapter from their chapter book then went to sleep. Woke up and threw rocks in the lake and took down the tent.
Very successful first backpacking trip!
Caleb said the marshmallows were "AWESOME MOM"! but eyewitnesses say that he only took a few bites and wasn't very impressed.
The Eyewitness also still has all of the pics on his phone, but hey.
This is a start right!?
