Last weekend we went with several members of the Ljubljana church down to the Croatian sea side for the annual church retreat. It was a great weekend! I kept calling it my free Slovene class because the vast majority of the weekend was in Slovene. We still can't comprehend everything (not even close!) BUT we sure can understand A LOT more than before, so that was really encouraging.
The highlight of the weekend was the baptism that was held on Sunday morning. Even though it was a beautiful sunny day, the water was super cold! But the guy on the right said, "Life away from Jesus is much colder than that water!" (that's my loose translation).
I always cry at baptisms but this time I cried even more than usual.
It was just such a special and happy time.
Of course Caleb spent most of the weekend throwing rocks into the sea and loving every minute of it.
Like father like son. =) And Luka joining in too.
Wish you could have been here to enjoy this special day too!

beautiful, trish! i love easter baptisms (especially in the sea)! i also love seeing new life and the decision of believers to publicly declare their identity with Jesus!
