My good husband planed a little prayer retreat/get away for us a while ago. There is a cabin that we have been able to use up in the mountains by Leadville. This hide away has long been a "happy place" for us and we have so appreciated the use of it.
Just about 3 or 4 hours (on Wednesday) before we were to drive to the cabin, Kristi called from SLO and told us that we had permission to buy our plane tickets.
WOW!
What crazy timing huh?!
We were thinking that our prayer trip was going to lots of "Oh, Lord help us to wait patiently and trust your timing." (with much moaning and groaning)
Instead, our prayer trip was full of praises and "Thank you Lord!" and "Oh Lord, help us as we pack up and say good byes!" (with much more yippees and Oh wows!!)
We took several great walks, rested a lot, prayed a lot, read together and enjoyed some sweet family time before the craziness of starting to pack and spend time with people.
The timing couldn't have been better.
Thank you Lord for hooking us up!
Caleb learned how to say "deer" while we were at the cabin too!
This is just silly time with bubbles on the porch.

What a beautiful retreat. God is so amazing! My peanut brain can not fathom it...:)
So excited to see how the LORD is leading, one step at a time and so perfectly!
I will be praying for you as you transition into the Goodbye stages, that you not only do it well but that the people in your lives allow for that.
I also pray for peace as you pack, make decisions and travel.
May the Lord shine his face upon you!
Love and hugs, Nicole
Isn't Leadville the home of the Unsinkable Molly Brown? Always loved that musical. Molly's husband loved his mountain cabin in leadville Colorado and was unhappy with city life in Denver.
Love you and will be praying for a gentle exit and landing!
