to celebrate the Reformation!

So, it took a bit of conversation to figure out what to do about the whole Halloween thing. We've never really discussed the matter before, but now that we have Caleb, we had to figure out where we stand with the whole Trick or Treating thing and Halloween vs. Fall Festival etc.  After much discussion and debate we have decided that our family is going to celebrate Reformation Day! It just so happens that on Oct. 31, 1517 Martin Luther boldly nailed his 95 theses to the door of the Wickenburg chapel.This is the event that many would say kick started the Reformation. Some of the Reformation's great themes are Salvation by Grace alone, through Faith alone, in Christ alone. Another key move of the Reformers was to put the Bible in the hands of the people.Nice work, go for it guys!

Hondo and I agreed that when you celebrate such important occasions, often times you dress up...and eat yummy things...So, my mom got Caleb this GREAT snowman costume and we went downtown to get some candy along with the rest of the Estes Park townsfolk.
