...to do an English Camp

Last weekend we went up to the mountains to host an English weekend for a local Catholic high school.

This is the same school that has invited us to teach a few classes and host another English camp back in October. Our teammates have really built a great relationship with the principal and staff at this school. The "headmaster" said that we could do a camp every weekend if we wanted to!

The staff has told us to make the camp "as spiritual as possible," so we have.

I think it is valuable for any high school student (or adult!), no matter what language they speak, to think about who they are, who God is, and what they are doing here on the planet.

If you can articulate that in your heart language that is great.

To be able to articulate that in a second language (or 3rd or 4th) that is bonus.

Caleb and Landon pretty much stole the show with their cute smiles and brake dancing skills. We even had them participate in the 1st night's "get to know you game." Ahhh, the life of a ministry kid. =)

The whole weekend was really a blast! The students were just outstanding: smart, eager to learn, hungry for conversation, and easy going. We were so thankful for such a special time to build relationships and laugh together.

We played all sorts of fun team building and get to know you games thanks to my talented and Outdoor Ed specialist husband! (and thanks to Steve who taught him all the games!)
