Last week at church we were able to share a little bit about our journey towards Slovenia. We took this handy SLO magnet all around Estes and then told the church, "Wow! I guess everyone is thinking about Slovenia these days!" So then we used the SLO to tell people about what we're up to. I'll just put up a few of my favorite pics.
The "S" stands for SLOVENIA! Here's just a few facts: It is located next to Italy, and above Croatia. It was a part of former Yugoslavia. There are only 2 million people that live there. And there are more Christians in Estes Park then there are in the whole country of SLO....that is why we are going.
The "L" stands for LEAVING! Yes, we are moving to Slovenia some time in 2009. We can't go until we have 100% of our support raised. We need to get our visas, take some culture and language classes and figure out how to ship all of our stuff over there. It seems a bit daunting but we are excited that things are finally coming together. Leaving is really bitter sweet though...we like Estes and we love our friends here. It is NOT going to be easy to be so far away from family too....
The "O" stands for OPPORTUNITY! This is our opportunity to obey God in what He has called us to do. It is your opportunity to support us through prayer and finances. And it is your opportunity to visit us some day!!! =)
