The reason we went to visit was to see the 4th Grade Invention Show. There were several outstanding inventions...some that were good...some that were done by mom and dad...and some that were finished the night before...as is very typical of such a project. I'll have to tell you about my favorites another time, but the sweetest was made by a girl who is not even in my class. She said she thought of me when she made "The Mother's Helper". It is an apron with different pockets to hold diapers, wipes, and bottles. There is also a little Velcro strap to hold the binki and (it is a little hard to see in the picture) a sequend heart "to add a little bling!" She gave it to me at the end of the show! Too cute!!

So on Thursday, Caleb and I went to visit my class for the first time. The kids were super excited to finally meet this little guy that they've been anticipating all year. Caleb did really really well being greeted by so many people and having his nap interrupted for most of the morning. The kids asked a lot of questions and told several of their own stories about babies. The best question came from Douglas who inquired, "How did you get him out?" YIKES! I calmly replied, "Well, the doctor helped." and then turned to another student real quick like. YIKES!

This is just a real cute picture of Caleb that has nothing to do with our school visit!

That is so sweet that your student made her invention for you. Way cute. And, oh Douglas... good answer Mrs. Wynn!
